Comforts

All comforts come from God. He comforts us so we can comfort others.

Read: 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.

Good Work

God will finish what he started in you.

Mightier

Whatever you are facing know that God is mightier than all.

Read Psalms 93:3-4

3 The floods have risen up, O Lord.
    The floods have roared like thunder;
the floods have lifted their pounding waves.
But mightier than the violent raging of the seas,
mightier than the breakers on the shore—
the Lord above is mightier than these!

Hold On

Hold on to the Hope that’s in Christ forever.

Read: Hebrews 6:19

19 This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.

Trusted

God’s word is unchangeable and can be trusted.

Read: Hebrews  6:18

18 So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.

Only One

No one nor anything can do for us what Jesus has done.

Read: John 10:9

Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures.

Honor

We must respect and honor the amazing gift we have been given.

Read: Romans 6:13-14

13 Do not let any part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God. 14 Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.

Too Busy & Distracted

Warning signs. Too busy to pray, too busy to read the Word, too busy to go to church, now stop, turn around, don’t miss the warning signs.

Read: Joel 2:12-13

12 That is why the Lord says,
“Turn to me now, while there is time.
Give me your hearts.
Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning.
13 Don’t tear your clothing in your grief,
    but tear your hearts instead.”
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is merciful and compassionate,
slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
He is eager to relent and not punish.

Look Forward

Because something went wrong yesterday doesn’t have anything to do with what will happen tomorrow.

Read: Isaiah 43:17-19

17 I called forth the mighty army of Egypt
with all its chariots and horses.
I drew them beneath the waves, and they drowned,
their lives snuffed out like a smoldering candlewick.

18 “But forget all that—
it is nothing compared to what I am going to do.
19 For I am about to do something new.
See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?
I will make a pathway through the wilderness.
I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.

People

Do not fear people.

Read: 118:6

The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear.
What can mere people do to me?
