For Yourself

Check out the truth for yourself. Hold on to the truth and don’t be afraid to say the truth to anyone listening or not!

Read: Ezekiel 3:10-11

10 Then he added, “Son of man, let all my words sink deep into your own heart first. Listen to them carefully for yourself. 11 Then go to your people in exile and say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says!’ Do this whether they listen to you or not.”

Justice

There are so many areas in our society that need one thing. Amos long ago called out for Justice, Martin Luther King called out for justice a short while ago. Let’s continue to make that call before Justice gets lost.

Read: Amos 5:23-24

23 Away with your noisy hymns of praise!
I will not listen to the music of your harps.
24 Instead, I want to see a mighty flood of justice,
an endless river of righteous living.

Look Inside

Connecting with someone because of their outward appearance only can be disappointing. Check out what’s inside first, their character too.

Read: I Samuel 16:7

7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Steady

No matter what else is going on always keep your private time with God steady and uninterrupted.

Read: Daniel 6:7,10-11

7 We are all in agreement—we administrators, officials, high officers, advisers, and governors—that the king should make a law that will be strictly enforced. Give orders that for the next thirty days any person who prays to anyone, divine or human—except to you, Your Majesty—will be thrown into the den of lions.

He Said IT

So it’s difficult. Remember what God said. He said He will protect, He will provide, He will save and so much more. Believe what God said.

Read: Acts 27:25-26,44

25 So take courage! For I believe God. It will be just as he said. 26 But we will be shipwrecked on an island.”

Prepared

Are you prepared for the moment of truth? Understand God has been patient with us because he loves us, but time is coming and now is for us to be ready.

Read: Amos 4:12-13

12 “Therefore, I will bring upon you all the disasters I have announced.
Prepare to meet your God in judgment, you people of Israel!”

13 For the Lord is the one who shaped the mountains,
stirs up the winds, and reveals his thoughts to mankind.
He turns the light of dawn into darkness
and treads on the heights of the earth.
The Lord God of Heaven’s Armies is his name!

Stealing

Stealing is never right. But if one is hungry with no recourse, forgive and help them if you can.

Read: Proverbs 6:30

30 Excuses might be found for a thief
who steals because he is starving.
