Not In That

Wherever there is strife, confusion, envy and unrest you can be sure God is not in that.

Read: James 3:16-17

16 For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind.

17 But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.

Obedience

We may not understand the why of things, but trust God and obey.

Read: Matthew 5:44-45

But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! 45 In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.

Receive Health

Depart from all evil and receive health.

Read: Proverbs 3:7-8

Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom.

Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.

8 Then you will have healing for your body

   and strength for your bones.

Your Children

Strength

You are strong and can be an achiever.

Read: Psalms 28:7-8

The Lord is my strength and shield.

I trust him with all my heart.

He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy.

I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.

8 The Lord gives his people strength.

He is a safe fortress for his anointed king.

Imagine

You can’t imagine all the good things God has in store for those who love Him.

Read: I Corinthians 2:9-10

9 That is what the Scriptures mean when they say,

“No eye has seen, no ear has heard,

   and no mind has imagined

what God has prepared

   for those who love him.”

10 But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.

Whomever He Pleases

God will use whomever He pleases to accomplish His will. Even those not in His fold, He will use them to bless His people.

Read: Ezra 1:2-4

“This is what King Cyrus of Persia says:

“The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth. He has appointed me to build him a Temple at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. 3 Any of you who are his people may go to Jerusalem in Judah to rebuild this Temple of the Lord, the God of Israel, who lives in Jerusalem. And may your God be with you! 4 Wherever this Jewish remnant is found, let their neighbors contribute toward their expenses by giving them silver and gold, supplies for the journey, and livestock, as well as a voluntary offering for the Temple of God in Jerusalem.”

Wiser

You must understand that God is wiser than all humans and His plans are better than all plans too.

Read: I Corinthians 1:24-25

But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles,[a] Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 This foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength.
