Use It

The flesh is weak. Prayer is your weapon. Temptation is everywhere. Constantly praying is smart. Use your weapon every moment if needed.

Read: Matthew 26:41

41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Don’t Be Fooled!

Today’s world is in desperate need of learning the truth, that He is in full control of everything. There seems to be so much anxiety surrounding our country and those who lead it. Through these uncertain times we must remain faithful to God by trusting Him concerning all things.

In 2 Chronicles 14:1-16:4, we learn the value of continuing to trust God through reading about Asa’s journey. In 2 Chronicles 15: 5-7, people of every land faced trouble on all sides, nation fought against nation, and city against city, for God was trying them in all things, as He is doing today. In verse 7, God encourages them in the midst of that trouble; “But as for you, be strong and courageous for your work will be rewarded.”

When Asa heard this Word from The Lord he got busy doing everything he could to honor Him. We must do the same thing and we can trust that just as God granted Asa peace in the midst of confusion that He will do the same for us. In the midst of of our trying times, we must continue to be courageous in our good works, believing He will bless us. Don’t let what is happening in our society discourage you! God will raise up the leaders who He chooses; we don’t need to like or agree with His selections, we simply must trust.

God knows who is right for this season, so chill out and get out of the rat race. Pray and stay in agreement with God; there are so many voices, choose today whom you will serve and don’t be concerned with being right. In chapter 16 of 2 Chronicles, Asa becomes bull headed and decides to rely on man’s help instead of God. Asa was so stubborn that when he heard the truth from a man of God he refused it and put the prophet in jail. Asa could have just humbled himself, repented and not lost his reward. It is important that we listen to His voice, and not the voices of this world. We must not allow ourselves to be lead by our flesh. In this time we must submit to the will of God and we’ll see His glorious Salvation!
