Those who reject the abundant life God gives are simply against God and us too.

“Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me.

God allows us to give tithes and offerings to help Him complete His work. What an honor to help God who needs nothing from us but our obedience which brings us great rewards.

Read: Malachi 3:10

Bring to the storehouse a full tenth of what you earn so there will be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord All-Powerful. “I will open the windows of heaven for you and pour out all the blessings you need.

Look for God in His Word. You will find Him there always.

He faced the square just inside the Water Gate from early morning until noon and read aloud to everyone who could understand. All the people listened closely to the Book of the Law.

Trust God on the unfamiliar paths. His plans for you are good and He responds quickly to our faith in Him.

The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.

Stop looking outside and take pleasure in the Lord who can give you your hearts desires.

Take delight in the Lord,
and He will give you your heart’s desires.

Reaching to make a name for yourself without God will fail. Pride is a false guide that leads to failure. Sometimes God wrecks your plans to keep you dependent on Him.

And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the sky. Let us make a name for ourselves; otherwise, we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth.”

5 Then the Lord came down to look over the city and the tower that the men were building. 6 The Lord said, “If they have begun to do this as one people all having the same language, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. 7 Come, let Us go down there and confuse[a] their language[b] so that they will not understand one another’s speech.”

What more do you want? Proof? Here it is.

All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin[a] will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’).

Stop wallowing in regret about your past, it is over. Focus on this new day, new year full of new opportunities you can grab if you wake up!

Do not be discouraged when God is good to all His children. He does not have favorites.

but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.

6 Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? 7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.

When you miss it don’t hide from God. He knows where you are and what you’ve done. He’ll never leave you so answer Him when He calls, “here am I Lord”.

When the cool evening breezes were blowing, the man[a] and his wife heard the Lord God walking about in the garden. So they hid from the Lord God among the trees. 9 Then the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”

10 He replied, “I heard you walking in the garden, so I hid. I was afraid because I was naked.”

11 “Who told you that you were naked?” the Lord God asked. “Have you eaten from the tree whose fruit I commanded you not to eat?”
