Boasting

Pride always comes before a fall. It is not wise to boast before the battle is won.

It Is Possible

God’s power is matchless and He has a sense of humor too. Making an ax head float, feeding hundreds with twenty loaves of bread, increasing a widow’s oil and so much more. Never doubt God.

Read: 2 Kings 13:21

21 Once when some Israelites were burying a man, they spied a band of these raiders. So they hastily threw the corpse into the tomb of Elisha and fled. But as soon as the body touched Elisha’s bones, the dead man revived and jumped to his feet!

Reality

In reality it is best not to taunt God’s Anointed. Keep all irreverent cynicism to yourself.

Read: 2 Kings 2:23-24

23 Elisha left Jericho and went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, a group of boys from the town began mocking and making fun of him. “Go away, baldy!” they chanted. “Go away, baldy!” 24 Elisha turned around and looked at them, and he cursed them in the name of the Lord. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of them.

Make Up Your Mind

It is time to decide which lane you’re going to stay in. Joy through faith in God or Idolatry through pleasures.

Read: I Kings 18:21

21 Then Elijah stood in front of them and said, “How much longer will you waver, hobbling between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him! But if Baal is God, then follow him!” But the people were completely silent.
