Putting anything above God is not acceptable.
23 So be careful not to break the covenant the Lord your God has made with you. Do not make idols of any shape or form, for the Lord your God has forbidden this. 24 The Lord your God is a devouring fire; he is a jealous God.
Examine what you give because it will determine what you get back.
38 Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.
God’s thoughts are higher than ours. If you want a greater reward you have to love your enemies and do good to those who mistreat you.
35 “Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked.
There are times when answers come quickly and other times you must press on for a long while to get results.
12 One day soon afterward Jesus went up on a mountain to pray, and he prayed to God all night.
You won’t stumble.
9 Our lives are in his hands,
and he keeps our feet from stumbling.
The Lord is at the head of your battle. Fear not!
30 The Lord your God is going ahead of you. He will fight for you, just as you saw him do in Egypt.
When you believe God’s promise don’t be afraid, just possess it and receive.
21 Look! He has placed the land in front of you. Go and occupy it as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, has promised you. Don’t be afraid! Don’t be discouraged!
When you know it is time to move on… move.
