God always does what is good for us no matter if it is good or unpleasant.
Read: Deuteronomy 8:5
5 Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord your God disciplines you for your own good.

You may be going through some things just so you can be taught.
3 Yes, he humbled you by letting you go hungry and then feeding you with manna, a food previously unknown to you and your ancestors. He did it to teach you that people do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.
Stay away from those you know are not truthful. Protect yourself.
Read: Romans 16:17-18
17 And now I make one more appeal, my dear brothers and sisters. Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people’s faith by teaching things contrary to what you have been taught. Stay away from them. 18 Such people are not serving Christ our Lord; they are serving their own personal interests. By smooth talk and glowing words they deceive innocent people.
Step away from what the world demands of you so you can succeed.
2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
If you don’t belong to God, you can.
Read: Acts 16:31 and Romans 10: 9-13
31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.”
9 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. 11 As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.”[a] 12 Jew and Gentile[b] are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. 13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
You belong to God!
6 For you are a holy people, who belong to the Lord your God. Of all the people on earth, the Lord your God has chosen you to be his own special treasure.
A good reason to obey God is found when you read: Deuteronomy 5:10
10 But I lavish unfailing love for a thousand generations on those[a] who love me and obey my commands.
When you go out of your way to be good to others but they want no part of good…then just walk away. You’ve done your part.
11 But if any place refuses to welcome you or listen to you, shake its dust from your feet as you leave to show that you have abandoned those people to their fate.”
When you obey the Word of God you can be sure no matter what you’ll continue to stand on solid ground.
47 I will show you what it’s like when someone comes to me, listens to my teaching, and then follows it. 48 It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it is well built. 49 But anyone who hears and doesn’t obey is like a person who builds a house without a foundation. When the floods sweep down against that house, it will collapse into a heap of ruins.”
Whatever is being said is flowing from that person’s heart.
45 A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.
