There is one thing you need to know.

You must choose which kind of Ruler will you be.

A ruler with no understanding will oppress his people,
but one who hates corruption will have a long life.
There are a group of folks you must avoid.

14 Come, throw in your lot with us;
we’ll all share the loot.”
15 My child, don’t go along with them!
Stay far away from their paths.
16 They rush to commit evil deeds.
They hurry to commit murder.
17 If a bird sees a trap being set,
it knows to stay away.
18 But these people set an ambush for themselves;
they are trying to get themselves killed.
19 Such is the fate of all who are greedy for money;
it robs them of life.
There are times in certain situations that we need to humble ourselves and repent.

My child, if you have put up security for a friend’s debt
or agreed to guarantee the debt of a stranger—
2 if you have trapped yourself by your agreement
and are caught by what you said—
3 follow my advice and save yourself,
for you have placed yourself at your friend’s mercy.
Now swallow your pride;
go and beg to have your name erased.
Have no fear.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
You can be sure of every Word of God.

Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.
We have the ability to accomplish our goals.

God has given us teachers and leaders only for our good.

Obey your spiritual leaders, and do what they say. Their work is to watch over your souls, and they are accountable to God. Give them reason to do this with joy and not with sorrow. That would certainly not be for your benefit.
Your reward is sure … stay faithful and you’ll receive.

God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
We must listen and learn and hold on to the truth.

So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it.
