Ignore

Don’t ignore the teachings of your elders thinking their requests are outdated. God’s Word is never outdated. His instructions are a lamp to our feet spoken through our Elders who know!

Read: Psalm 119:105

Your word is a lamp to guide my feet
and a light for my path.

Love Covers All

If you operate in love you can also forgive every offense. Love is a choice.

Read: I Peter 4:8

Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.

A Winning Position

The world will say, “It needs to be done now, move fast don’t think, just do it.”
A winning position is quietly seeking and waiting for God’s still small voice to lead you. His timing is perfect every time.

Read: Lamentations 3:25-26

The Lord is good to those who depend on him,
to those who search for him.
26 So it is good to wait quietly
for salvation from the Lord.

Past, Now, Future

There is nothing too hard for God. He did it once in the past and can do it again now and in the future. He is able.

Read: Exodus 15:21-27

21 And Miriam sang this song:

“Sing to the Lord,
for he has triumphed gloriously;
he has hurled both horse and rider
into the sea.”

22 Then Moses led the people of Israel away from the Red Sea, and they moved out into the desert of Shur. They traveled in this desert for three days without finding any water. 23 When they came to the oasis of Marah, the water was too bitter to drink. So they called the place Marah (which means “bitter”).

24 Then the people complained and turned against Moses. “What are we going to drink?” they demanded. 25 So Moses cried out to the Lord for help, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. Moses threw it into the water, and this made the water good to drink.

It was there at Marah that the Lord set before them the following decree as a standard to test their faithfulness to him. 26 He said, “If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you.”

27 After leaving Marah, the Israelites traveled on to the oasis of Elim, where they found twelve springs and seventy palm trees. They camped there beside the water.

Safe

Today and every day is safe in the Lord!

Read: Psalm 4:3,6-8

Know that the Lord has set apart his faithful servant for himself;
the Lord hears when I call to him.

In peace I will lie down and sleep,
for you alone, Lord,
make me dwell in safety.

Turn Back

God knows all and we are wise to forsake the temptations we’ve let pull us away. We must return to our safe place in God.

Read: Revelation 2:2-5

2 I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. 3 You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary.

4 Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. 5 Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.

Let’s Do It

We were created to worship God not things, so let’s do it night and day!

Read: Psalm 89:15-16

Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you,
who walk in the light of your presence, Lord.
16 They rejoice in your name all day long;
they celebrate your righteousness.

Conclusion

At the end God wins! Those with Him win too!! The enemies of God have a conclusion too.

Read: Revelation 20:10-11

And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Courageous

Be courageous and confident in the Lord. Listen and obey His voice alone.

Read: Hebrews 3:6-7

But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.

7 So, as the Holy Spirit says:

“Today, if you hear his voice,
8 do not harden your hearts
as you did in the rebellion,
during the time of testing in the wilderness,
