Around us everyday is some kind of deception. So the best protection and the greatest gift we can give our family is moral and ethical self-control.

Read: James 1:22-25

22 But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. 23 For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. 24 You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. 25 But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.

Your actions have consequences. Pay attention to your actions so you don’t bring grief upon yourself.

Read: Jeremiah 4:18

18 “Your own actions have brought this upon you.
This punishment is bitter, piercing you to the heart!”

Be assured, evildoers will be eliminated.

Read: Proverbs 24:19-20

19 Don’t fret because of evildoers;
don’t envy the wicked.
20 For evil people have no future;
the light of the wicked will be snuffed out.

It is God who is the Judge. He decides what happens next.

Read: Psalms 75:7,10

7 It is God alone who judges;
he decides who will rise and who will fall.

10 For God says, “I will break the strength of the wicked,
but I will increase the power of the godly.”

You can and you should control and monitor what you think about.

8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

Don’t worry, but do something useful…pray.

6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

The Word of God is truth. It is relevant to your life, your families’ lives, and all life. So don’t neglect it.

160 The very essence of your words is truth;
all your just regulations will stand forever.

God doesn’t choose to lie to you. He takes nobodies and turns them into somebodies.

Read: I Samuel 13:13-14 

13 “How foolish!” Samuel exclaimed. “You have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you. Had you kept it, the Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever. 14 But now your kingdom must end, for the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart. The Lord has already appointed him to be the leader of his people, because you have not kept the Lord’s command.”
