Grace

God’s Grace is far greater than your limited understanding. He responds to sincere requests from the heart and gives peace.

Read: 2 Kings 5:17-18

17 Then Naaman said, “All right, but please allow me to load two of my mules with earth from this place, and I will take it back home with me. From now on I will never again offer burnt offerings or sacrifices to any other god except the Lord. 18 However, may the Lord pardon me in this one thing: When my master the king goes into the temple of the god Rimmon to worship there and leans on my arm, may the Lord pardon me when I bow, too.”
19 “Go in peace,” Elisha said. So Naaman started home again.

Right Choice

When you are making decisions obey God rather than man. Especially when it comes to your children. Discipline is better than losing control of them.

Read: Acts 5:29

29 But Peter and the apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than any human authority.”

Sincerely Pray

You have gone far left; now stop! Humble yourself and sincerely repent, pray to God. He will listen and answer.

Read: 2 Chronicles 33:12-13

2 But while in deep distress, Manasseh sought the Lord his God and sincerely humbled himself before the God of his ancestors. 13 And when he prayed, the Lord listened to him and was moved by his request. So the Lord brought Manasseh back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh finally realized that the Lord alone is God!

Do This

Pray for peace and prosperity to be within Jerusalem.

Read: Psalm 122:6-9

6 Pray for peace in Jerusalem.
May all who love this city prosper.
7 O Jerusalem, may there be peace within your walls
and prosperity in your palaces.
8 For the sake of my family and friends, I will say,
“May you have peace.”
9 For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
I will seek what is best for you, O Jerusalem.

Before Battle

It is wise to wait until the battle is completely over before you shout.

Read: I Kings 20:11

11 The king of Israel sent back this answer: “A warrior putting on his sword for battle should not boast like a warrior who has already won.”

Intentions

Seek the Lord first. Because you have good intentions to do something doesn’t mean you are the right one to do it.

Read: I Kings 8: 18-19

18 But the Lord told him, ‘You wanted to build the Temple to honor my name. Your intention is good,19 but you are not the one to do it. One of your own sons will build the Temple to honor me.’

No Matter What

It is not going to go well for those trusting in others rather than God. No matter what it looks like.

Read: Isaiah 31:1-2

31 What sorrow awaits those who look to Egypt for help,

trusting their horses, chariots, and charioteers

and depending on the strength of human armies

instead of looking to the Lord,

the Holy One of Israel.

For Yourself

You should respectfully and sincerely approach God for yourself.

Read: Isaiah 30:18

18 So the Lord must wait for you to come to him

so he can show you his love and compassion.

For the Lord is a faithful God.

Blessed are those who wait for his help.
