Downfall

Hanging out with ungodly folks and disobeying what you know is right leads directly to a downfall.

Read: Psalm 106:34-36

34 Israel failed to destroy the nations in the land,
as the Lord had commanded them.
35 Instead, they mingled among the pagans
and adopted their evil customs.
36 They worshiped their idols,
which led to their downfall.

Don’t Strike

Because you are in position to strike your enemy doesn’t mean that you should. Let the Lord take care of it.

Read: 1 Samuel 26:23

23 The Lord gives his own reward for doing good and for being loyal, and I refused to kill you even when the Lord placed you in my power, for you are the Lord’s anointed one.

Remember

There are times you need to remember what God has done so you can continue to move forward in Faith.

Read: I Samuel 17:37

37 The Lord who rescued me from the claws of the lion and the bear will rescue me from this Philistine!”

Saul finally consented. “All right, go ahead,” he said. “And may the Lord be with you!”

The Inside

What’s on the inside of a person is what matters most.

Read: I Samuel 16:7

7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Obey

If you want to please God just obey Him.

Read: I Samuel 15:22

22 But Samuel replied,

“What is more pleasing to the Lord:

your burnt offerings and sacrifices

or your obedience to his voice?

Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice,

and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.

All Battles

Listen, pay attention, there is nothing impossible with God. You pray in faith believing and watch what happens!

Read: Joshua 10:12-13

12 On the day the Lord gave the Israelites victory over the Amorites, Joshua prayed to the Lord in front of all the people of Israel. He said,
“Let the sun stand still over Gibeon,
and the moon over the valley of Aijalon.”
13 So the sun stood still and the moon stayed in place until the nation of Israel had defeated its enemies.
Is this event not recorded in The Book of Jashar? The sun stayed in the middle of the sky, and it did not set as on a normal day.

Be Careful

Do not trust a false witness. They’ll turn on you for sure.

Read: Proverbs 14:25

25 A truthful witness saves lives,
but a false witness is a traitor.

You Choose

You are responsible for the choices you make. The way you go is up to you.

Read: Joshua 24:14-15

14 “So fear the Lord and serve him wholeheartedly. Put away forever the idols your ancestors worshiped when they lived beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord alone. 15 But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.”

Trust

Fear not! Every promise of God will come true.

Read: Joshua 21:45

45 Not a single one of all the good promises the Lord had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything he had spoken came true.

Stand and Demand

When anything has been promised to you it may be necessary to stand and demand you receive that promise.

Read: Joshua 14:12-13

12 So give me the hill country that the Lord promised me. You will remember that as scouts we found the descendants of Anak living there in great, walled towns. But if the Lord is with me, I will drive them out of the land, just as the Lord said.”
13 So Joshua blessed Caleb son of Jephunneh and gave Hebron to him as his portion of land.
