No Exceptions

When anyone allows their desires to take them into indulging in temptations they are making a big mistake.

Read: James 1: 13-15

13 And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong,[a] and he never tempts anyone else. 14 Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. 15 These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death.

Don’t Waver

Be sure your faith is in God alone before you ask Him for anything.

Read: James 1:6-8

6 But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. 7 Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.

Not Easy

Sometimes going the right way is the most difficult way to go.

Read: Matthew 7: 13-14

13 “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell[a] is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. 14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

Get This Together

They do not need to be your friend or associate. If you don’t have a Spiritual Leader that is called by God you need to get one quickly.

Read: Hebrews 13:17

17 Obey your spiritual leaders, and do what they say. Their work is to watch over your souls, and they are accountable to God. Give them reason to do this with joy and not with sorrow. That would certainly not be for your benefit.

“The Lord is my helper,
so I will have no fear.
What can mere people do to me?”

Never Too Late

What you did in the past won’t help you today. Each new day you must arise to righteousness and sin not. The unrighteous can repent and be saved! It is not too late for anyone.

Read: Ezekiel 33:12

12 “Son of man, give your people this message: The righteous behavior of righteous people will not save them if they turn to sin, nor will the wicked behavior of wicked people destroy them if they repent and turn from their sins.
