Criticism

Criticism leads you nowhere. Judging another gets you nowhere. Leave all of that to God.

Read: Romans 14:1-4

1 Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong. 2 For instance, one person believes it’s all right to eat anything. But another believer with a sensitive conscience will eat only vegetables. 3 Those who feel free to eat anything must not look down on those who don’t. And those who don’t eat certain foods must not condemn those who do, for God has accepted them. 4 Who are you to condemn someone else’s servants? Their own master will judge whether they stand or fall. And with the Lord’s help, they will stand and receive his approval.

Inside Out

Some things have to be said twice. Real change comes from the inside out. If you change your thinking, your heart will follow.

Read: Romans 12:2

2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world,
but let God transform you into a new person by changing
the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s
will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Your Fields

Don’t sit in a dry unproductive place.
Ask the Lord to water your fields.
He can make anything grow.

Read: Zechariah 10:1

1 Ask the LORD for rain in the spring,
for he makes the storm clouds.
And he will send showers of rain
so every field becomes a lush pasture.

In Control

Do not let the cares of this world cause you to fear. Be still and know God is in control.

Read: Psalm 46:10

10 “Be still, and know that I am God!
I will be honored by every nation.
I will be honored throughout the world.”

Stop Right Now

Stop everything – eating, worrying, talking – and pray for yourself,
your children and your friends. Then wait! For your answer will come.

Read: Ezra 8:23

23 So we fasted and earnestly prayed that our God would take care of us, and he heard our prayer.

Yourself

Cut yourself some slack. Stop beating up yourself. You can give yourself a break. You have another chance to get it right.

Read Romans 8:1-2

1 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to
Christ Jesus. 2 And because you belong to him, the power[a]
of the life-giving Spirit has freed you[b] from the power
of sin that leads to death.

Surety

In God’s kingdom, you’ll never be without help,
you’ll never be without love, and you’ll never be abandoned.

Read: Hebrews 13:5

5 Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said,

“I will never fail you.
I will never abandon you.”[a]

Choose

Some say anything and everything is okay. That is not true if you choose life.

Read: Matthew 7:13-14

13 “You can enter God’s Kingdom only through the narrow gate.
The highway to hell[a] is broad, and its gate is wide for the
many who choose that way. 14 But the gateway to life is very
narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.

Selfish

Being rude is not lovely.
Being selfish defeats one’s self and stops love’s flow.

Read: I Corinthians 13: 4-5

4 Love is patient and kind.
Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude.
It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable,
and it keeps no record of being wronged.
