We Can Choose

All the evil in the world doesn’t come from direct satanic

involvement. Much of it comes from the heart of man.

What we do with our anger and frustrations is subject

to our will. We can choose how we will respond to stress,

or to the behavior of others.  Our challenge is to govern our

emotions; otherwise, they will rule in tyranny over us.

You are never in worse company than when you

fly into a rage and are beside yourself.

Look Up

When you feel discouraged, it is easy to turn inward and

become paralyzed by your own feelings and pain. It takes

great effort, but refocus your attention on GOD. Every day

HE opens doors of opportunity that can bring purpose and

meaning to your life. Helping someone in need, giving time

to a good cause, writing a note of encouragement. When

you left your eyes from the ground you will see the door

GOD has opened.  Walk through it with courage, and on

the other side you will find great encouragement.

Look up!

Supporting

Some of the most important and rewarding

Work we’ll ever do is alongside our friends.

Supporting their belief and convictions.

Giving a helping hand.

Expectancy

Do not look for GOD to come in any particular way, but look for HIM.

That is the way to make room for HIM. Expect HIM to come, but do

not expect HIM only in a certain way.

Keep your life so constant in its contact with GOD that HIS surprising

Power may break out on the right hand and on the left. Always be in a

state of expectancy, and see that you leave room for GOD to come in

as HE likes. You’ll be blessed and amazed by HIS will being done in

your life. Expect HIM to come, but do not expect HIM only in a certain way.

Infinite Value

This one truth is worth rejoicing about all day.

GOD cares about you! You are of infinite

Value to HIM. Nothing happens to us apart

from his knowledge. HE knows your name,

your aches and struggles and HE loves

you.We do not have to be afraid, for our

heavenly Father is watching over us. Allowing

our trails to build our character; helping us

to become just like HIM. Our part is to

stay connected by trusting HIM. We are

of infinite value to GOD.

Be Careful

What is it that drives us on so relentlessly?

Are you ready? Take a deep breath and allow

Yourself to tolerate the one-word answer:

PRIDE. We work and push and strive so we

Can prove we are worthy…we are the best…

We deserve top honors. And the hidden message:

I can gain righteousness all on my own effort,

Ingenuity and energy.  And because I can,

I must! And why is this heretical? Because

Ultimately this philosophy says: I really don’t

need divine righteousness.  Be Careful!

Pride always comes before a fall.

Keep Your Word

Are you faithful to do whatever

You said you’d do? It’s easy to

Make quick promises but not

so easy to carry them out.  Make

sure you follow through on promises

made to others.  GOD always keeps

HIS promises, and HE wants us  to

Be like HIM.

I Choose Goodness

I Choose Goodness…
I will go without a dollar before I take a dishonest one.
I will be overlooked before I will boast.
I will confess before I will accuse.
I will forgive so I may live in Peace.

I Choose Patience

I will  overlook the inconveniences of the world.
Instead of cursing the one who takes my place, I’ll invite him to do so.  Rather than complain that the
wait is too long, I will thank God for a moment to pray.
Instead of clinching my fist at new assignments, I will
face them with joy and courage.  Remember when
Patience has had it’s perfect work you are left
complete wanting nothing.

I Choose Kindness

I choose kindness…
I will be kind to the poor, for they are alone.
Kind to the rich, for they are afraid. And kind to
the unkind, for such is how GOD has treated me.
Why don’t you join me
