Being proud will bring you nothing.

Proud people will be ruined,
but the humble will be honored.

Do you really know who you are and do you really know what you have?

Do you not know and understand that you [the church] are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells [permanently] in you [collectively and individually]?

Superficial rituals will get you nothing. Fear of the Lord will cause you to avoid evil.

By mercy and lovingkindness and truth [not superficial ritual] wickedness is cleansed from the heart,
And by the fear of the Lord one avoids evil.
