Be Truthful

Do not be moved by those who won’t receive the truth. You continue to be truthful anyway.

Read: 2 Timothy 4:3-5

3 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will reject the truth and chase after myths.
5 But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.

Foolish

It is good to know what really is foolish.

Read: Proverbs 26:6-8

6 Trusting a fool to convey a message
is like cutting off one’s feet or drinking poison!
7 A proverb in the mouth of a fool
is as useless as a paralyzed leg.
8 Honoring a fool
is as foolish as tying a stone to a slingshot.

Clear Understanding

You need to know the Scripture for a clear understanding about all things concerning you.

Read: 2 Timothy 3:16

16 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.

Persecution

When you live right you will certainly deal with persecution. Know that the Lord will rescue you.

Read: 2 Timothy 3:11-12

11 You know how much persecution and suffering I have endured. You know all about how I was persecuted in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra—but the Lord rescued me from all of it.12 Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

Undeserved

When a negative, underserved wish is tossed at you don’t worry. It won’t hit you.

Read: Proverbs 26:2

2 Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow,
an undeserved curse will not land on its intended victim.

Arguments To Avoid

Be patient with difficult people and don’t get into ignorant arguments.

Read: 2 Timothy 2:23-24

23 Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. 24 A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people.

Run

Here’s a way to avoid a trap. Run from anything that stimulates lust. It’s a trap.

Read: 2 Timothy 2:22

22 Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.

For Your Good

There is a group of people you should avoid. Stay away from them for your own good.

Read: 2 Timothy 3:2-5

2 For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. 3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. 4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. 5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!

Gently

It’s not easy holding your peace when a loved one is walking in ignorance. But be gentle and pray. Only God can change a heart.

Read: 2 Timothy 2:25-26

5 Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth. 26 Then they will come to their senses and escape from the devil’s trap. For they have been held captive by him to do whatever he wants.

Reward

Everyone wants to be rewarded. Well here are two witnesses for the reward of those who trust in the Lord.

Read: Psalms 91:14-16 & Jeremiah 39:18

14 The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love me.
I will protect those who trust in my name.
15 When they call on me, I will answer;
I will be with them in trouble.
I will rescue and honor them.
16 I will reward them with a long life
and give them my salvation.”

18 Because you trusted me, I will give you your life as a reward. I will rescue you and keep you safe. I, the Lord, have spoken!’”
