Morsels of Kindness

When you become aware that a friend or associate is going in a wrong direction, don’t let them fall in a ditch, say something.

Read: Proverbs 19:25

25 If you punish a mocker, the simpleminded will learn a lesson;
if you correct the wise, they will be all the wiser.

It is easy to learn where a person is coming from. Just listen to what they say and watch what they do.

44 A tree is identified by its fruit. Figs are never gathered
from thornbushes, and grapes are not picked from bramble bushes.
45 A good person produces good things from the treasury of a
good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the
treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is
in your heart.

So you’ve learned a lot and are ready to step out, that’s all good but never put yourself above your teacher.

40 Students[a] are not greater than their teacher.
But the student who is fully trained will become like the teacher.

Cut yourself some slack. Stop beating up yourself. You can give yourself a break. You have another chance to get it right.

of the life-giving Spirit has freed you[b] from the power
of sin that leads to death.

Get ready for the new year with joy! Because the Lord delights in
you, He won’t let you fall or fail.

23 The Lord directs the steps of the godly.
He delights in every detail of their lives.
24 Though they stumble, they will never fall,
for the Lord holds them by the hand.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Sure, the Bad is prospering but keep watching…God will balance
the scale.

4 But the Lord is in his holy Temple;
the Lord still rules from heaven.
He watches everyone closely,
examining every person on earth.
5 The Lord examines both the righteous and the wicked.
He hates those who love violence.
6 He will rain down blazing coals and burning sulfur on the wicked,
punishing them with scorching winds.
7 For the righteous Lord loves justice.
The virtuous will see his face.

Take an interest in others too.

4 Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

Take the time to be a friend to someone even if they are not famous. You may find a real true friend.

16 Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all!

Being a good friend is not a sometimes kind of thing. It is a
everyday thing. When things are good and when they are bad, you’re
still there being a friend.

“And may you treat me with the faithful love of the Lord as long as
I live.”

Promises, promises, promises. Do not make them if you cannot keep them.

“A person who promises a gift but doesn’t give it
is like clouds and wind that bring no rain.”
