Morsels of Kindness

Learning how to work together is one thing, learning how to play together is another but learning how to live together in love takes everything you got. Read: Ephesians 5:33 (click on link below and read today’s Scripture).

A child will follow in the footsteps of those he or she admires most. Make sure your footsteps are worth following. Read: Deuteronomy 11:19,21

Be watchful of your attitudes. Don’t feed your children, friends or associates junk ideas, sour opinions, rotten theology, poisoned feelings or wilted enthusiasm. Instead feed them with the best ideas, positive opinions, generous feelings and the freshest enthusiasm you can muster. Your attitude is nourishment to all you come in contact with just like food. Read: Proverbs 20:7,15

Take the time to rest and have recreation time with your family and friends. You must refresh your valuable relationships with fellowship. Read: Ecclesiastes 2:11

Spanking is not abuse.  Abuse is rooted in a parents uncontrolled expression of power. Discipline is intended to restrain and re-channel a child’s uncontrolled expression of power. Abuse never has a place but spanking is good.  Too many parents are not on spanking terms with their children and it shows. Read: Proverbs 13:24

Bury the faults of friends and loved ones. Pointing out the faults of others can do you no good. Rather help one another to be better when you can. Read: Ephesians 4:32

In finding a way to release anger and frustration, make sure your loved ones aren’t part of your method.  Swallowing angry words is much better than having to eat them later.  Read: Probverbs 29:11
