Boundaries

The boundaries the Lord has set up are for our protection.

Read: Exodus 20:12

Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the Lord your God is giving you.

Differences

We don’t look alike, we don’t sound alike and we come from different places but our differences should be a delight.

Read: Acts 10:34-35

Opening his mouth, Peter said:

“Most certainly I understand now that God is not one to show partiality [to people as though Gentiles were excluded from God’s blessing], 35 but in every nation the person who fears God and does what is right [by seeking Him] is acceptable and welcomed by Him.

Accepted

God accepts you as you are.

Read: John 6:37

The Father gives me the people who are mine. Every one of them will come to me, and I will always accept them.

Words

Be alert and on guard. Don’t allow words of strife and envy into your home, business or life. Walk in love and joy.

Read: Proverbs 10:11 and Deuteronomy 6:5-7

The words of a good person give life, like a fountain of water,
but the words of the wicked contain nothing but violence.

You must love the Lord your God with your whole mind, your whole being, and all your strength.

6 These words I am commanding you today must be kept in mind, 7 and you must teach them to your children and speak of them as you sit in your house, as you walk along the road, as you lie down, and as you get up.

Victorious

It may be hard but when we forgive but it takes us from being a victim to being victorious.

Read: Luke 6:35

“Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked.

Community

We must come together and help one another to build community. Don’t be a lone ranger.

Read: Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Two are better than one because they have a more satisfying return for their labor; 10 for if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and does not have another to lift him up.

Morsels of Kindness Gathering

Recently, some dear friends of mine opened up their home to me and gave me a Morsels of Kindness gathering. They asked me to show up with my books and what happened next was truly awesome. God gave me the opportunity to share a Morsel of Kindness with each person present and God blessed them each with a special word just for them. It was amazing and humbling at the same time. I enjoyed the opportunity to be present with them during this time.

Morsels
What a blessing to share my Morsels.

My friend Pat, of Pat’s Delites, made delicious mini “morsel” desserts for the guests at the end of the event. Though it was difficult, God blessed me with some strong will power to resist the temptation to eat them all! If you’d like to follow Pat Delites, you can find them on Instagram and Facebook.

God is so good!

Thanks, Pat’s Delites!

Meet My Constant Companions

I love my dogs. Going through the loss of a pet is never easy, and while nothing can replace one that you’ve lost, having other pets around sure does help lessen the hurt. Blessing is forever in my heart. She was a true joy in my life.

Peace joined our family when she was just 6 weeks old, and she has brought me such happiness! She is all about playtime. It’s been fun to watch her breathe youthful, new life into her older sister, Victory, too. All of my dogs’ names came to me in my spirit. Blessing, well, she was a blessing to me; Peace came to me during a time when I needed peace; and Victory came to me because of her tough, regal personality – but she’s still my teddy bear!

My Rottweiler “teddy bears,” as I call them, are true pack animals; they are warm and so loving. The best thing about owning Rottweilers is their loyalty to you; they just want to be with you and make you smile.
Next year we plan to let Peace have one litter of puppies. I’ve never had a litter with any of my dogs before, so I’m so excited to see how this new adventure will unfold.

Fools

There are somethings only fools do so you can recognize them right away.

Read: Psalms 14:1

1 Only fools say in their hearts,
“There is no God.”
They are corrupt, and their actions are evil;
not one of them does good!

Watch and See

It is easy to learn where a person is coming from. Just listen to what they say and watch what they do.

Read: Luke 6:44-45
44 A tree is identified by its fruit. Figs are never gathered
from thornbushes, and grapes are not picked from bramble bushes.
45 A good person produces good things from the treasury of a
good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the
treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is
in your heart.
