Be Ready

Always be ready.

Read: 2 Timothy 4:2 & Colossians 3:16

Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.

Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.

Your Steps

You don’t have to know everything as long as God is directing your steps.

Read: Proverbs 20:24

The Lord directs our steps,

so why try to understand everything along the way?

Rest

Since God is our leader we should follow His example. He made a habit of taking a day off to rest, and so should we.

Read: Genesis 2:2

By the seventh day God finished the work he had been doing, so he rested from all his work.

Deception

The Bible warns of a time that deceit slips into the church. Beware, pray for discernment and the truth will set you free.

Read: I Corinthians 15:58

So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.

Serious Times

These are serious times that we live in and we must hold fast to the truth we know and speak the Word of God only! Playtime is over.

Read: 2 Timothy 4:3-4

I solemnly urge you in the presence of God and Christ Jesus, who will someday judge the living and the dead when he comes to set up his Kingdom: 2 Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.

3 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will reject the truth and chase after myths.

5 But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.

Mistake

The biggest mistake you can make is to do nothing.

Read: Hebrews 13:6

So we can say with confidence,

“The Lord is my helper,
so I will have no fear.
What can mere people do to me?”

Elimination

You must eliminate the unnecessary voices so you can hear the necessary voice when He speaks.

Read: Luke 10:39-42

She had a sister named Mary, who seated herself at the Lord’s feet and was continually listening to His teaching. 40 But Martha was very busy and distracted with all of her serving responsibilities; and she approached Him and said, “Lord, is it of no concern to You that my sister has left me to do the serving alone? Tell her to help me and do her part.” 41 But the Lord replied to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered and anxious about so many things; 42 but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part [that which is to her advantage], which will not be taken away from her.

Thanksgiving

Spend today thanking God for your life and lives of everyone you know and love! Just be grateful!

Read: Psalm 138:1-4

I will give You thanks with all my heart;
I sing praises to You before the [pagan] gods.
2
I will bow down [in worship] toward Your holy temple
And give thanks to Your name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth;
For You have magnified Your word together with Your name.
3
On the day I called, You answered me;
And You made me bold and confident with [renewed] strength in my life.

4
All the kings of the land will give thanks and praise You, O Lord,
When they have heard of the promises of Your mouth [which were fulfilled].

Differences

We don’t look alike, we don’t sound alike and we come from different places but our differences should be a delight.

Read: Acts 10:34-35

Opening his mouth, Peter said:

“Most certainly I understand now that God is not one to show partiality [to people as though Gentiles were excluded from God’s blessing], 35 but in every nation the person who fears God and does what is right [by seeking Him] is acceptable and welcomed by Him.

Mightier

The Lord is mightier than all.

Read: Psalm 93:4

But mightier than the violent raging of the seas,
mightier than the breakers on the shore—
the Lord above is mightier than these!
