It’s a waste of time doing nothing.

Read: Proverbs 18:9

A lazy person is as bad as
someone who destroys things.

Do not let fear prevent you from receivng the good things God has just for you.

29 He said, “Come!” So Peter got out of the boat, and walked on the water and came toward Jesus.

Discipline is imperative but abuse is never acceptable.

Read: Proverbs 13:24

Those who spare the rod hate their children,
but those who love them are diligent to discipline them.

Be careful when choosing your friends.

Read: Proverbs 22:24-25

Do not even associate with a man given to angry outbursts;
Or go [along] with a hot-tempered man,

Or you will learn his [undisciplined] ways
And get yourself trapped [in a situation from which it is hard to escape].

Don’t play around only to lose all you have, remember God is no respecter of persons.

Did not Solomon king of Israel sin [greatly against God] regarding these things? Yet among the many nations there was no king like him. He was loved by his God, and God made him king over all Israel; nevertheless the foreign women caused even him to sin [by turning to other gods and so, judged by God, he lost his kingdom].

You can hear and see worthless things when they come, so stay away!

12 A worthless person, a wicked man, is he who goes about with a perverse (contrary, wayward) mouth.
13 He winks with his eyes, he speaks by shuffling or tapping with his feet, he makes signs [to mislead and deceive] and teaches with his fingers.
14 Willful and contrary in his heart, he devises trouble, vexation, and evil continually; he lets loose discord and sows it.
15 Therefore upon him shall the crushing weight of calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken, and that without remedy.

Don’t let the cares of this world take you away from the time you spend with God.

No soldier when in service gets entangled in the enterprises of [civilian] life; his aim is to satisfy and please the one who enlisted him.

Don’t destroy your own home by being lazy.

Laziness leads to a sagging roof;
    idleness leads to a leaky house.

It is right to stand up for the helpless and defenseless.

Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves;
    ensure justice for those being crushed.
⁹ Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless,
    and see that they get justice.

Every word God speaks is true. Don’t listen to or repeat what the deceiver says because he is a liar.
