Be honest with yourself. You can change.

Read: John 8:34

Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.”

Guard what you hear and stay true to what you know is right.

Read: I Timothy 4:16

16 Keep a close watch on how you live and on your teaching. Stay true to what is right for the sake of your own salvation and the salvation of those who hear you.

Do not amass or build up wealth by unjust gains.

Read: Jeremiah 17:11

11 Like a partridge that hatches eggs she has not laid,
so are those who get their wealth by unjust means.
At midlife they will lose their riches;
in the end, they will become poor old fools.

Whether He gives you what you want or not, your stand for God must still be without compromise.

Read: Daniel 3:17-18

If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. 18 But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.

If you’re seeking your reward from the world you are in for much disappointment. Let God choose a true reward for you.

May the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge, reward you fully for what you have done.

There is hope for you.

Read: Psalms 146:5-9 

But joyful are those who have the God of Israel^[a] as their helper,
    whose hope is in the Lord their God.
⁶ He made heaven and earth,
    the sea, and everything in them.
    He keeps every promise forever.
⁷ He gives justice to the oppressed
    and food to the hungry.
The Lord frees the prisoners.
⁸     The Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down.
    The Lord loves the godly.
⁹ The Lord protects the foreigners among us.
    He cares for the orphans and widows,
    but he frustrates the plans of the wicked.

Trusting in man alone is a hopeless action.

Read: Psalms 146: 3-4

Don’t put your confidence in powerful people;
there is no help for you there.
4 When they breathe their last, they return to the earth,
and all their plans die with them.

God sent His message to the world.

Read: I Timothy 2:5-6

5 For,
There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. 6 He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone.
This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time.

God forgives us when we miss it. He’s not holding on to our sins…love Him for it!

Lord, if you kept a record of our sins,
who, O Lord, could ever survive?
4 But you offer forgiveness,
that we might learn to fear you.

Following the Word of God keeps you from evil.

Guide my steps by your word,

   so I will not be overcome by evil.
