Favoritism

Deal fairly with all, no matter rich or poor.

A Warning against Prejudice
2 My dear brothers and sisters,[a] how can you claim to have faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ if you favor some people over others?

8 Yes indeed, it is good when you obey the royal law as found in the Scriptures: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 9 But if you favor some people over others, you are committing a sin. You are guilty of breaking the law.

Control Your Tongue

We rarely regret having said nothing at all, but regret speaking a negative word to someone.

Words

It is so important to guard what you say. Every word spoken matters.

Read: Matthew 15:11 & Psalms 141:3

11 It’s not what goes into your mouth that defiles you; you are defiled by the words that come out of your mouth.”

Take control of what I say, O Lord,

Guard what you hear and stay true to what you know is right.

Be sensitive to those who are hurting, mourning and sad. That’s not the time to joke around with them.

Our responsibility is to pray, especially for our leaders.
