Perfect

You are not alone. No one is perfect. So we continue to strive for perfection.

Read: Romans 7:14-15, 25 and Romans 8:6-8

14 So the trouble is not with the law, for it is spiritual and good. The trouble is with me, for I am all too human, a slave to sin. 15 I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate.

6 So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. 7 For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. 8 That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God.

Humble

If you want change it needs to start with you humbling yourself to God.

Read: 2 Chronicles 7:14

14 Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.

Sincerely

Approach Him with a sincere heart and God will move on your behalf.

Read: 2 Chronicles 1: 10-12

10 Give me the wisdom and knowledge to lead them properly,[a] for who could possibly govern this great people of yours?”
11 God said to Solomon, “Because your greatest desire is to help your people, and you did not ask for wealth, riches, fame, or even the death of your enemies or a long life, but rather you asked for wisdom and knowledge to properly govern my people— 12 I will certainly give you the wisdom and knowledge you requested. But I will also give you wealth, riches, and fame such as no other king has had before you or will ever have in the future!”

Intimately

It is up to us to know God intimately. If you seek for Him you will find Him.

Read: I Chronicles 28:9

9 “And Solomon, my son, learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately. Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the Lord sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek him, you will find him. But if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.

The Right Way

There is a way to be right with God.

Read: Romans 3:21-22

21 But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. 22 We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.

Favorites

God does not have favorites.

Read: Romans 2:9-11

9 There will be trouble and calamity for everyone who keeps on doing what is evil—for the Jew first and also for the Gentile. 10 But there will be glory and honor and peace from God for all who do good—for the Jew first and also for the Gentile. 11 For God does not show favoritism.

Ask

There are occasions when you just need to ask. Which way do I go?

Read: Psalm 5:8

8 Lead me in the right path, O Lord,
or my enemies will conquer me.
Make your way plain for me to follow.
