Signpost

On life’s journey heed the signpost along the way. Listen inwardly and follow peace.

Read: Isaiah 30:21

21 Your own ears will hear him.
Right behind you a voice will say,
“This is the way you should go,”
whether to the right or to the left.

Believe

What you believe in your heart and speak with your mouth will happen.

Read: Mark 11:23

23 I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.

Think

Make a conscience decision to think good thoughts only. Dismiss all negative thinking.

Read: Philippians 4:8

8 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

Accept

Do yourself a favor and accept the peace that is freely given to you.

Read: Philippians 4:6-7

6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Limits

Keep your body within wise limits. Don’t let stress take it out.

Read: I Corinthians 6:19-20

19 Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, 20 for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body

Rely On

Self-reliance can get you hurt. Rely on God.

Read: 2 Corinthians 1:9-10

9 In fact, we expected to die. But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely only on God, who raises the dead. 10 And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us.

Impatient

Don’t be impatient like King Saul who lost his kingdom because he didn’t wait.

Read: I Samuel 13:13-14

13 “How foolish!” Samuel exclaimed. “You have not kept the command the LORD your God gave you. Had you kept it, the LORD would have established your kingdom over Israel forever. 14 But now your kingdom must end, for the LORD has sought out a man after his own heart. The LORD has already appointed him to be the leader of his people, because you have not kept the LORD’s command.”

Agreement

We have an agreement with God and nothing can break it.

Read: Genesis 17:7

7 “I will confirm my covenant with you and your descendants[a] after you, from generation to generation. This is the everlasting covenant: I will always be your God and the God of your descendants after you.

Be Prepared

When you want people to help you with your plan be prepared by having all of the answers to their questions.

Read: Nehemiah 2:7-9

7 I also said to the king, “If it please the king, let me have letters addressed to the governors of the province west of the Euphrates River,[a] instructing them to let me travel safely through their territories on my way to Judah. 8 And please give me a letter addressed to Asaph, the manager of the king’s forest, instructing him to give me timber. I will need it to make beams for the gates of the Temple fortress, for the city walls, and for a house for myself.” And the king granted these requests, because the gracious hand of God was on me.

9 When I came to the governors of the province west of the Euphrates River, I delivered the king’s letters to them. The king, I should add, had sent along army officers and horsemen[b] to protect me.

Let Us Remember

We are removed from all curses because of the atoning work of Christ.

Read: Galatians 3:13-14 (click on link below and read today’s Scriptures).

13 But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”[a] 14 Through Christ Jesus, God has blessed the Gentiles with the same blessing he promised to Abraham, so that we who are believers might receive the promised[b] Holy Spirit through faith.
